2. What possibly could some 30% of Americans like about permanent wars of aggression and the
ensuing torture; a tanking economy, jobs market, dollar, and standard of living; a multi-trillion dollar raid on the mythical lock-box through wholly irresponsible fiscal and tax policies with the inevitable burgeoning and unsustainable debt created thereby; wholly ignoring environmental and global warming issues; the politicization of most of the Federal apparatus; an evolving unitary-type executive more likened to a corporatist, fascist, theological totalitarian police-type state; the emasculation of the Bill of Rights except for the sacred and sacrosanct 2nd Amendment; and evisceration of the Constitution and the rule of law, making it impossible for this to still be the land of the free and home of brave, for equal justice under the law to prevail? These are surely but such small prices the tens of millions of faithful are willing to pay to have this naked emperor, our own Mad King George, rule with his far RW politics and agenda, damn all the above. :D

16. there will always be
I've read on other boards that the economy is fine, waterboarding works, global warming is a scam, and GWB is a great leader. I even read Hillary should be waterboarded. Nothing surprises me. There will always be a certain percentage who will never get it.

The simple fact is that a certain percentage of the population do not care if we torture people. They see it like on 24.

of shame (or rather eight years),it almost feels like we are all sharing a very bad dream. One thing about it though this guy has knocked a lot of people off of the political fence.

7. Well, he wanted a legacy -- now he has one.
And he could make even more history. How about, first former American president to be tried for war crimes?

Too bad he won't make history as the first prez to be not only impeached by the House but also convicted by the Senate.

10. Does he give a damn about his approval rating?
I don't think so. He has accomplished what he was placed in office for.
He has made $Billions for his backers.

Who was worse?

Are they saying that only because there were no polls way back when?

15. My guess is that, when told he is considered the worst pResident in history, Bush said...
"So?"

When you are not bound by so quaint a concept as "the consent of the governed", why would measly polls bother you?
