What's this "Law Day" shit??
Yesterday was May Day. Not "Law Day"

What the fuck is Law Day anyway - it just seemed like an excuse for Lou Dobbs to bash Mexicans.

2. Right wingers will do ANYTHING to keep us from remembering
what May Day really means to the workers of the world: change its name to reflect repression and religion, shift the worker's day to September, anything.

We have unions, still, and they remember, so it's a lost cause.

Fight the right! Maybe next year we'll ALL celebrate May Day!

4. Law Day's been around
for fifty years or so.

Local bar associations used to send lawyers to schools, elementary, intermediate, and high, to explain to kids what the law means, what lawyers do, how it all works, and to answer any questions they might have.

Kids loved it when I participated.

5. Law Day has been recognized for a long time
This has been around since I was in law school over 25 years ago. We have the annual awards banquet for the law school on May 1

6. Law Day is a public service day for lawyers.
Local bar associations and law schools provide lectures or free clinics on May 1st. It has nothing to do with Lou Dobbs' idiocy.
