it's originally from the boston herald but still dead on and funny.

3. I have a friend, from the Philippines.
Her family didn’t have much money and a Chinese family adopted her, except they never came to get her. Her older sisters taunted her, as she was not formally a real member of the family anymore, even though she still lived with them.

Good news today, she is financially well and fairly happy and living in the US. She dedicated her life to helping others, and I will attest to the fact that she is a blessing to this world.
