My repub friends went nuts when gas went up 25 cents under Clinton!

They all went completely bonkers, and were ready to get pitch forks and raid the White House

Now when gas triples! And goes up over 2.00 a gallon under Bush... you hear nothing but crickets.

It just went up here by 15 cents in ONE DAY

Its a damn shame that we have to suffer with them...

But these dumb asses deserve everything they are getting!

When they argue all the BS excuses to defend oil companies ripping us off... Just tell them to keep voting for rich Republicans .... and tell them to remember to smile when paying to fill up your tank!

They dont have to think about their mistake....

Just pay for it.

2. yeah but the difference is... Bush is a Republican....
And it's unpatriotic to question the commander-in-chief. Plus, Bill Clinton didn't have the moral authority to have our sympathy. I don't believe in the sarcasm smiley. :)

4. They also screamed they wouldn't support him in Bosnia or Kosovo.
If the Democrats would raise one-tenth the hell the Pukes do when they don't get their way, we could turn public opinion against the gOP forever.

(Which is why the Dems DON'T raise hell -- they're part of the problem.)

5. There is no end to Pubs' ability to whitewash another Pub. The idiot
Pubs at my workplace rail about the price of gas, but it's not Bush's fault -- it's those greedy oil companies! And those damned environmentalists who won't allow drilling in Alaska!

When I mentioned to the drilling idiot that getting ALL the oil out of that pristine wilderness would run our cars for 6 months, she said, "Well, that's six months!!"

Shall I mention again how much I hate it here in Richmond, the armpit of the universe??

6. Don’t you know,? Repubs can do no wrong!
It’s the same here in Redneck, Red State Georgia. When there was the slightest increase in gas prices during Clinton’s watch they loudly blamed him. When Clinton left office in 2001 gas was $1.15 here (it had been as low as $0.85 a gallon during his term).

Now that Bush has overseen a more than tripling of gas prices it’s the environmentalist’s and the dems in Congress fault for not allowing drilling in Anwr or off the Florida coast. Never mind that it would take 10 years to get Alaska production up and running for 6 month’s worth of oil and Jeb Bush was a leading opponent of drilling off Florida’s coastline.

8. Doesn't the oil from the Alaska pipeline get shipped overseas? We don't benefit from it in the
lower 48, do we? So wouldn't the same hold true for any oil pumped from ANWR?

9. True!
Yes it does but they claim that it's a global market and what we sell to other countries pays for part of what we import.

The point I was trying to make is that even if the oil companies were given permission to start drilling today it would have absolutely no effect at all for 10 years as it would take that long to get any of it to market and even then the amount estimated to be in ANWR would only supply the equivalent of the amount consumed in the USA for 6 months.

7. Of course you can hear the crickets
I've never seen any RW'ers with any integrity. They go on and on about Clinton and the Mighty Clenis, but:

-won't go die for their dear drinking buddy, but don't mind if others do.
-don't care about WMD's never found, but that's Clinton's fault, too.
-don't talk about who was actually POTUS on Sept. 11, 2001.
-think that the rich pay too much in taxes, but whine if they have to pay any taxes.
-whine about illegal immigration as the very Hispanic-looking gardeners/lawn care work on the yard.

It must be nice to go through life with one's brain well washed and scrubbed.
