The price of oil will continue higher (with occasional short, slight reversals) from now until the last vestige of modern civilization has crumbled into dust.

There is no permanent solution. The supply of oil is limited, and we have r3eached that limit. The age of petroleum is facing decline and fall. The free ride is over.
