I realized that I forgot to celebrate Jan. 20 as a definite marker to signify that it's just one year away,(Happy Days are here again)(we hope) so now it's even closer! SO your job, if you choose to accept it, is to think of something good about May-ish, 2009! What scenario comes to mind... Use your IMAGINATION-but it doesn't have to be a stretch. ...

I know a few of you will choose to put something not so good in there, law of averages.
However, if I laugh, you'll be off the hook!

Gas prices down to $2.29, thanks to the timely release of the SPR, freezing & nationalizing the oil companies. BCCI, 9/11, Enron, etc being re-investigated by John Edwards, our AG. Congress has passed new economic stimulus package ordering ALL US-based companies to stop outsourcing and re-hiring Americans, and heavily taxing off-shore companies that does business to discourage offshoring, and hiring more Americans. Negoitations are already underway for repartitions to the country of Iraq and speedy withdrawal by Christmas of 2009. President Barack Obama's approval rating is consistently holding at 78%....

Oh yes, CAFE standards has risen and those big honkin' SUV's are permanently banned from getting gas - forcing many SUV owners to trade it in under a government deal for either smaller SUV's or environmentally-friendly cars, giving tax breaks for the trade-in value.

Reversal of GWB's stupid tax breaks and cutting more middle-class taxes to help jump-start the economy.

Peace is declared there - almost immediately.

The heads of Both Halliburton and Blackwater have encountered alien beings and have had a major metaphysical conversion. Both men have major guilt over the money their firms hijacked away from our Treasury, and they have returned these trillions of dollars to help pay for Nationalized, Single Payer Health Plans for every US man woman and child.

Laura Bush continues on in her efforts to help bring literacy to the children of our country. She does manage to find a few spare hours each week to visit "W" who is serving a life sentence in
Woods Hole. There is no possibility of him ever getting out. He fared better than his friend Cheney, who was, the official story relates, "inadvertently" handed over to a mob in Baghdad, hanged and gutted.

Fund quality schooling for all, emphasis on skill training.
Commit to covering 30% of the SW structures with solar panels.
Begin to downsize our military.
Learn to live with our neighbors.

I meant to say I agree per se, but have you thought that maybe it would be desirable to transfer those subsidies to the byproducts?

In other words, no more ethanol from the actual corn of the corn plant, but subsidize the ethanol from the husk, the cob and the stalks??

These volunteers are also doing the leg work into many other investigations into the many, many scandals of the previous administration.

Injustices still happen, but at long last accountability has returned.
