Poll question: Which is the more radical twosome?
Edited on Sat May-10-08 10:28 PM by Pushed To The Left
If the media gave John Hagee and Rod Parsley the coverage they gave Jeremiah Wright, "Preachergate" would be neutralized and maybe, just maybe, Americans would start caring about actual ISSUES again! For those of you who claim that Wright is a legitimate issue against Obama, to be consistent you would have to treat the words of Hagee and Parsley as a legitimate issue against McCain as well. You can't have it both ways.

1. Wright speaks out militantly against white supremacy and US imperialism
and Ayers advocated the violent revolutionary overthrow of the US government and the prevailing economic system (as well as white supremacy and US imperialism.) That's pretty radical.

Christian fundamentalist bigotry, on the other hand, while certainly not mainstream, does fit nicely with traditional power structures, and because of its many politically influential adherents, it enjoys an acceptance and legitimacy that people like Ayers and Wright do not have.

Ayers and Wright are probably more radical than Hagee and Parsley. "Radical", of course, does not mean "bad."

3. Hagey and Parsley want to kill all the "Gheys" ...
How could you possibly choose Wright and Ayers who are just extreme radical left. I know that Ayers was part of the weathermen, but that was a long time ago AND Obama only knows the guy pretty much in passing. You going to hold me responsible for everyone who sits on my HOA board? :eyes:

Hagey and Parsley are neonatzis. Wright has a bone to pick with the moral fibre of our government.

Seriously can you really choose the first option without simply knee-jerking against a candidate over invalid issues? Rediculous.
