Sammy's swan song on AAR?

http://www.samsedershow.com/

First off, what is not ending on SUnday 5/10:

+ This blog. This blog is going nowhere, so please, no panicking.

+ The SammyCam. In the short term at the very least Seder v. Maron will keep the SammyCam busy. I may start doing more live video shows- don't know.

+ My radio career. I may end up as Air America's 3-6 pm host. I really have no sense as to the chances of that happening. If not, there may be other opportunities at AAR or at other liberal talk networks. Don't know that those opportunities would happen soon or months from now, but I love doing liberal talk radio and one way or another I'll make it back on air.

+ My association with Air America. I continue to serve as the online editor of AirAmerica.com.

What is ending Sunday 5/10:

My Seder On Sunday contract. This will be the 52nd Seder On Sunday and the last live Air America Seder On Sunday Show. There will be two more Seder On Sunday's of mostly all new Book SHow interviews. Jeffery Feldman, Rick Perlstein, Elizabeth Warren are just a few of the folks who will be featured on these shows.

The neccesity of my watching SUnday bobble head shows. If I never see Tim Russert do a roundtable with his cocktail party freinds again until Myla has kids it'll be too soon. I can recite to you word for word what you'll hear on his show this weekend. It is the most predictable our of television short of the old emergency test pattern.

Please, if you haven't done so, sign up for the Seder Reader email list to your left if you haven't already done so. I'll keep you updated!

2. I can't believe that this is the last Seder on Sunday!
No more:

On the 7th day god rested and Seder worked

Lorren? and the SammyCam?

Woof woof with Bill Scherr (sp?)

Shut that closet door, Justin

The backing up of the Straight Talk Express

No more floating around in the water on Sundays loving listening to Seder on Sunday.

Most unhappy camper here!

4. Listening now!
I sure hope either AAR or Nova M make an offer soon. I hate to think that there's a possibility we won't be able to hear Sammy.

8. Along with my best wishes for Sam's continued presence--a few words about "Sunday"
Seder On Sunday is my flat-out favorite show on the radio right now. I eagerly await downloading the podcast and savoring the commentary on Sunday evening and on my drive to work Monday morning.

It's been an oasis of sanity; it's provided the kind of background I could only wish our sucky corporate media could give us via their outlets.

Hearing bloggers like Glenn Greenwald, Christy from Firedog, Atrios, and all the rest of their bright, funny panelists has been an absolute treat.

I know he'll bring his act to another outlet, somewhere, and this isn't the end. But damn, I'm gonna miss the Sunday show.
