Better "what if" scenario: voting irregularities occur in your state.
In response to this thread

My "what if" scenario is more likely to happen than the one linked to above:

What if you find out (from the news, a blogger, DU, etc) that a precinct in your state is experiencing irregularities. And that the national election hinges on the final vote count there?

What would you do?

What should you do?

This is a serious possibility, for which I think a plan should already be in place.

We all remember 2000 with the army of GOP ideologues who were bused in to stop the Florida vote count. We all remember the oddities in Ohio in 2004, and how there were no crowds defying John Kerry's concession.

Will we passively watch another election stolen?

1. Very good question, and with our Secretary of State and the largest county's Recorder
both being ultra-RRR conservatives, it's very apt to, particularly since we voted in a likely unConstitutional voter ID requirement last year. There were many challenges directed at a certain group in 2004 in the Phoenix area and it will likely be worse this time.

I don't know what I would do other than to report it here. I'm guessing that there will be hotlines similar to the ones in 2004 to report to and I know that many organizations are geared up to contest voter ID refusals on the scene. We need to think about this--and for the love of democracy, hope that the DNC and other relevant organizations are considering the question as well.
