Public Service Announcement: People With OUT Children
Edited on Tue May-13-08 01:47 AM by Breeze54
You may be a loving and wonderful person, and I'm sure you are

but...

Until you actually LIVE with the little varmits?

YOU HAVE NO IDEA!!! :P

They are so sweet... coo, coo... Ka choo

But when they get home from day care or school?

They are hell on wheels!!!

What YOU see is not anything that a parent see's.

Remember that and try to understand it!

I've hired many a babysitter and day care and they all told me what "angels" my kids were and
I had to double check they were releasing the same kids I had dropped off in the morning!! :P

Yeah... they're "sweet little darlings", for sure and don't get me wrong, they are!!!

But they're 'sweet' like a fox!! Wiley and cunning and laying in wait!

So, all you NON-parents with all that great advice?!

STUFF IT!! You have no clue.

:loveya:

1. Hahaha! Revenge is mine! Have fun, you shit stirrer! I went
through the terrible teens with my twin and her daughter. It is no fun. It actually sucked, for many, many years. And it's not great now (she's 23-24?, still clueless.)

Revenge isn't mine. It does stink. Good luck.

4. Mine 'yoused' to run naked down the street!
But if they do that now? They'll be arrested!

Kids learn. :P

My sons were all "Hell-On-Wheels" and quite the handful

but they've mellowed now that they're in their 20's and 30's! ;)

But HOLY SHIT!! No wonder I was a size 5 back then!

3. Breeze are you describing my nephews?
Edited on Tue May-13-08 01:52 AM by nadinbrzezinski
I take care of the little angels about once a week. (Yes my sis and brother in law are lucky I do this... since I fear at this point they cannot afford the day care)

Trust me, I get the little angels once a week... and sometimes they are angels... but I do not negotiate with terrorists, no matter how ahem cute they can be.

So yes, I have a clue...

I might add.... to a point I am glad my other three kids have feathers...

And my only advise to my sis who should know better (she is an RD) is not to negotiate with the little terrorist over eating his veggies... and she's been told this by hubby who has been to this rodeo before in a previous marriage.

;-)

By the way, I would never presume to give you any advise... I have enough with making sure the little tykes don't get their way about snacks if they don't eat a good dinner..., oy!

Oh and I will add my mother in law's curse....

May your children be as nightmarish as you were... in this case my nephews!

7. I will have to thank my brother in law
I was going... ok these guys are jekill and Mr Hyde.

No, they are as manipulative as little terrorists and we are in full stockholm syndrome

Remember that at all times!

It makes life so much easier... when you send the little one to the corner for giving you lip after he don't get no popcorn since he did not eat his dinner....

Ah the STOP IT! is so oh nice

Or the ever so popular, I don't like you... when it comes from a three year old... the first time you go... did I hear what I think I just heard?

Yep... stockholm syndrome

9. Good, then there is hope that once these two grow up
i will be able to laugh as well.... even if they make me laugh today... often

Now tsk, tsk, tsk... not all who are childless are fully ignorant...

And if you want some good memories of the three to five year old (that never grows up) I will suggest a parrot..

Trust me, my cockatiel and my three year old nephew throw tantrums that are oh so similar it is not even funny

In fact hilarious

11. There's always hope!
;)

I think laughter made them who they are today and they don't take themselves so seriously
and that is a good thing, in my mind. ;) I didn't want them stressed out as children, at all. ;)

20. Little terrorists!
Funny. :)

My two boys are 24 and 22 and every now and then when they visit we will be talking about something and they will disagree with me and out comes the "You are a MEAN Mommy!" from days long gone by. It was funny then and it is still funny. I had a hard time keeping a straight face sometimes while raising them when they became "little terrorists". You just have to love them. :)

10. I know I know :P
I'm sure that there is a GREAT deal that I don't know about having kids. But I hope that my post may have simply reminded some people of the lessons that they wish their parents had taught them... or at least reminded them to teach their kids what their parents taught them.

Wasn't trying to lecture at all.

It was more intended as a "I appreciate all you've done mom and dad, but ffs could you have warned me about all the REAL predators out there? Like the utility companies for example?"

Good on ya

18. when I read this thread title : People With OUT Children...
i thought it would be about parents whose children were openly gay... :-)

But I am really just learning about the craftiness of the little ones. I have three girls under 6...and the middle one...SHE is up to something at all times. You can just see it in her eyes.

It's gonna be a interesting ride!
