freepers in a panic as another Dem wins a House seat in the South
Edited on Wed May-14-08 10:07 AM by LSK
"As one Freeper said in another thread, it’s panic time. Our electoral prospects are not good."

"We have no candidate and no philosophy in the GOP. And we haven’t seen the bottom yet."

"What’s shameful is that even when the Republicans had their revolution in 1994 they didn’t create as larege a majority as the Dems will have in 2009."

"Nobody wants to be a republican anymore."

"Can anything be done to keep Bush from speaking at the Republican National Convention this year?"

"I fear I will never see a Conservative controlled Congress in my remaining lifetime. It’s a sad state of affairs when the only difference between democrats and Republicans is that they all have never been aborted."

3. That last line, there:
"It’s a sad state of affairs when the only difference between democrats and Republicans is that they all have never been aborted."

Quintessential Freeper quotation. This is the Freeper in a nutshell (what other kind of "shell" would a Freeper be in?)...

I knew back in 2000 that it was the beginning of the end for the right. Sooner or later reality trumps the lies the wing nuts use to believe.

All the right can do is blame the last 7 years on the Dems. Kinda hard to do yet some will still buy it.

I heard a so called Dem on C-Span last night saying he would not vote for Obama because he isn't doing anything about high gas prices now in the Senate. So high gas prices are Obama's fault because instead of running for president he should have solved the problem in Congress by now.

14. Extremely uninformed losers - Who still embrace true republican ideology which is simply, fascism
Edited on Wed May-14-08 11:36 AM by GreenTea
Just look at what Bush's six years of TOTAL republican rule brought us when the republicans controlled the Congress, Senate, Presidency, the Supreme Court (and the corporate media)....uncontrolled republican ideology & agenda clearly brought us corporate fascism and these same racist, elitist, selfish, lying, hateful, greedy Nazi republicans, love fascism.

It's quite obvious....

Six years of absolute republican control has brought us huge deficits, biggest government ever, more spending ever, infringement on States rights, war for OIL and corporate profiteering, domestic spying, infringements on personal freedoms, corruption, republican sex scandals, torture, the dollar falling every year, gas prices in 2006 were near $4.00 a gallon before the election, pollution at an all time high, no regard for our environment ONLY about business profits... as the workers are paying higher taxes each of the last seven years (everyone I know has) while the rich & corporations pay less taxes each of the last seven years....

This is ultimately what true republican ideology leads to....Fascism!

6. It's amazing.
The fact that the Republicans still have any non-wealthy, non-energy executive supporters today is just amazing. These people are being fucked backwards and forwards by their dear Republican majority's policies from the moment they eat their overpriced breakfast in the morning, to when they shut off their $4-per-gallon car engine and go into their houses in the evening.

And they STILL want more. Pathetic.

7. I LOVE the "Can anything be done to keep Bush from speaking
at the Pub convention?" Every time I hear some talking head discuss the Pub convention and they say "Of course the President will be one of the Star speakers", I laugh and say Boy I'll bet they're all thrilled with THAT THOUGHT!

16. That's interesting

I'm trying to imagine the introductory video montage.

If you were trying to put together a sequence of images and video clips of the Bush presidency, in the best possible light, what on earth would you put in it?

Seriously... every "heroic" image they could put in there is a reminder of a failure.

I guess they'd make it "personal" instead of public and show family shots, clearing brush at the ranch, that sort of thing rather than use images that would make people think, "Everything this guy touches turns into shit."

15. They really ought to get used to it. It's a sign of things to come.

BushCo and the goppers owned this country for seven years and they plundered it into a bankrupt mess.

The voting public has finally caught on to what they are all about. They are starting to see through

the RW Radio Hatemongers too. They know OxyRush, Hannity et al are just common lying RW propagandists.
