'Fusion Man' soars above Alps

A man speeds through the air with wings and rockets on his back in Bex, Switzerland.

Yves Rossy is the world's first man to fly with jet fuel-powered wings

He demonstrated his flight talent in Bex, Switzerland

His jet turbines enabled him to achieve a speed of 186 mph

He uses only his body to change position in the air

A total waste of fuel, but this is cool. Here is the video of him flying

If you click on the photo tab there are some really good pics of the guy in the air. The pics are a flash presentation, so I couldn't link.

4. americans especially have no right to complain about somebody else's "waste of fuel".
same as everyone else- if he buys it, it's his to do with as he pleases.

5. Wouldn't that be a great way to commute to work? Right over the traffic jam.

It doesn't appear to have much room for fuel, so I don't imagine you could commute too far.
Cool.

edit to add:
This is no more a waste of fuel than any other form of sport flying. Or boating. Or taking a vacation in the family car.
