"Intelligent. Conservative."
Believe it or not that's the lame (and contradictory) slogan for KRLA, the station that features that "appeasement" dumb ass Kevin James -- the one who was on Tweety.

6. Wrong on both counts.
James is a noisy idiot. The conservatives wouldn't touch him with a ten foot pole.

8. There are intelligent conservatives
They are the most dangerous kind. They screw-up the world with full knowledge of the terror they cause. There is no need to rationalize their actions as good, they don't care. Karl Rove comes to mind.

11. Personally, the ones I've met have all been dumb as a rock
Seriously. I suppose the ones like Karl Rove you could say they're intelligent for pulling off a scam, but the scam-ees are pretty dumb, generally.

20. Same here
My firsthand impressions of conservatives is many are grossly misinformed, overly rigid people who have xenophobic, rural, fear driven idealogies. It is no wonder they are such easy pickings for the superrich to use them as foot soldiers to further their own agenda. You never hear a republican politician talk about payroll tax cuts or making sure the middle class can afford healthcare and education. For them it is always the estate tax, or capital gains, or federal income tax, or dividend tax, or business regulations. The religious right and the xenophobic whites in rural towns are the backbone of the GOP, but they are just being led around by the nose by the Karl Roves and Joseph Coors of the world to have their fears played on to vote against their economic interests.

I'd love to meet informed, rational republicans who think issues like justice, election integrity or human rights transcend politics, but I haven't met any. Maybe its just me. Most are afraid of the world beyond their small town and are full of talk radio slogans which can be disproven with the most superficial research.

My personal impression is if you are a republican who believes in justice, rationality, moderation and the middle class you've probably left the party by now to become independent, libertarian or maybe even dem. The only ones left are the nuts, the irrational and those who aren't paying attention.

17. I'm sorry, but KKKarl Rove fits the description of an "Idiot Savant" far better
...Idiot savant A person with gross mental retardation who nonetheless is capable of performing certain remarkable feats in sharply circumscribed intellectual areas, such as calendar calculation or puzzle solving.
