Bush's Middle East Policy
Basically I need to know if maybe I am ignorant or wrong thinking. Bush is calling for the democraticization of the Middle East. This is ignorant on his part due to the fact that after thousands of years of tribal leadership and the various sects not liking other various sects, this will never work.

In fact, it is probably one strong group in charge that keeps these various nations from descending into complete chaos.

Am I ignorant of the facts or does this make sense to others.

4. It seemed pretty straightforward to me
I wanted to make sure that I wasn't being overly simplistic in my thinking (sort of like being a RW GOPer)

5. I always try to say GOP instead of Bush...
...that way when his ass is finally gone, people can't claim everything is new again.

If I say "the GOP tortured people in Abu Ghraib," McCain cannot run away from that.

But if I say "Bush tortured people in Abu Ghraib," McCain can say he's not Bush. It makes it hard for any GOP candidate to run from their complicity with what their party has done.

In fact, that's why the GOP is going through this so-called "re-branding", so people will think everything will be different.
