I always think it's pretentious when someone says "X's supporters are obviously feeling threatened" -- but in this case, I believe it's absolutely accurate.

I an sure he is aware of this, and I'm sure it's 99.9% bullshit, but remember how crazy these people were when Clinton was president, and remember the people who blew up the OK City Federal building were right wing extremists. They may not have been Republicans, but they surely were not Democrats.
I have little doubt someone will attempt to kill Obama at some time.
I don't believe this is all rhetoric-they may be crazy and stupid, but they are mainly serious, and they are beginning to think they will lose.

Obama's approach is not to try to run away fast saying "am not, am not!"

He calls them on the techniques and is educating America about them. That's the only way to win this fight. And it wins it in away that really does unite the country so we can work toward our higher goals.
