2. Congratulations! I know Senator Kennedy is thrilled!
I was at a no hitter years ago in Seattle - it was when the Mariners were still playing in the Kingdome. My friend and I were talking and slowly we became aware of a FEELING -- an ENERGY that something was happening. It took us a while to figure out that Chris Bosio was on his way to pitching a no hitter. And he did it! It was absolutely magical and I'm so happy for Boston fans!!

4. Amazing, no?
This kid went from cancer and probably being the most scared to this. God bless him. This is the 18th no hitter in Red Sox history. Couldn't happen to a nicer young man!

6. One of those heartwarming sports stories - the kid beats cancer, wins game 7 last year,
now a no-hitter - to follow his equally young and promising (Buchholz) no-no last year. Great time to be a sports fan...and sometimes, a great sports story can take the sting out of the endless stream of Bushisms.

I've been a Sox fan since 1967 (when I was 11) - all of those long lean years are now being rewarded!

My husband is from Maine....he sucked me right into these guys. Just like Fever Pitch..."Kid, they will break your heart". Something about them, they really are the best of baseball...in more ways than just winning all the time. What a great team!

19. I am not a baseball fan....
...But something in the many poster's attitudes does make me a baseball fan-fan...I find your posts as inspiring and innocently American in a way I seldom see these days, and deeply admire. Congratulations on your enjoyment tonight after the physically sublime performance of a young man who appearently has overcome extreme adversity, and may you enjoy many more...Cat
