1. Yeah, humans suck
and developed technology way beyond their moral capacity to handle.

So we're just going to kill the planet. And I see no way to stop it - I can't fix the psychological problems of six and a half billion plus individuals.

2. Don't forget our collective interests
Our universal, one-size-fits-all solutions aren't always helping. Sometimes they're even worse.

So our individual and collective interests both support and negate each other at the same time, and also make the situation better at the same time that we make the situation worse.

If we all weren't at least a little crazy living in this reality, then I'd be really worried.
