10. I never thought of that but aren't we, sort of, national now, in a
round about way, with all the leases and subsidies to the companies that do the actual drilling?

12. Not when you consider the record profits that these companies have been making.
Exxon Mobil - $11 BILLION ($46 BILLION last year)

Conoco Philips - $7 BILLION

British Petroleum - $5.5 BILLION

Shell - $4 BILLION

We should be kicking their asses to the curb. Nationalizing oil would eliminate the middle man.

Paraphrasing: 'Do NOT treat us as scapegoats but as assest and in like raising our taxes, reducing subsidies or things like that. We've been there before anf jobs were lost and prices went up and production went down.'
