Could The Oil Price Run Up And The Rising Gas Prices In The U.S......
and the rising prices of just about everything - food, clothes, etc - be done on purpose to rally the American people to support a war for oil?

All this talk about Peak Oil. The 'Oil CEO's' on Capitol Hill - telling Congress to lay off.

The IEA coming out with this:

The International Energy Agency is studying depletion rates at about 400 oil fields in its first-ever study of world oil supply, said chief economist Fatih Birol. "We are entering a new world energy order, " Birol told The Associated Press.

Is *Co finally going to come out and admit that all that they've done over the last 8 years - Cheney's energy meetings, Iraq war, securing a position in the ME, fighting with Chavez, - and tell us this is all about oil.

Are they going to say that they didn't want to create a panic - but - with diminishing oil reserves and rising world demand - that they initiated all that they did because they understood all this even before they took office? Are they going to tell us that they've been doing this for our benefit? Will this rally the American people to support their efforts and overlook the last 8 years.

Is this going to be the October surprise?

Is this what is going to get McCain elected? Is this why Hilliary is pushing things to Denver and saying that Obama won't be able to handle this?

Is this how they are going to take out Obama - because he didn't support this war and if all of a sudden he has to flipflop on this and they make him look bad.

Makes one wonder.

oil in other countries truly belongs to us, and that we should go to war if it's necessary to protect "our" oil. It's a combination of moral indignation, imperialism, and racism.

7. The concept is bad enough, but their passion on the subject is what really scares me.

2. It's having the opposite effect: Bush support is inversely proportional to gas price.

5. I think it's to support drilling in ANWR
because most people don't realize it would take years for any of that ANWR oil to even get to the market.

8. Nah, it's just the usual BS
Money is power here in America. They've been siphoning record amounts out of all of us, and as such our voices got silenced.

I have a darker theory though. I've read a lot about Eugenics, and according to Kissenger, the most economical way of reducing a population is by starving them.

Nice world we live in, eh?

and when push comes to shove, most Americans would have no problem AT ALL taking anything from anyone, anywhere to support their wasteful habits.

Hopefully, the nations of the world understand this- Americans are not their friends, and if McCain gets into the whitehouse, we can expect to see pretenses for more wars.
