Talk Host: I wish Sen Kennedy had lived long enough to be assassinated

Sad to say this idiot works in my home town of Pittsburgh. He's a total racist/sexist jerk who has gone after the local late legend Myron Cope and many mostly black sports stars here in Pittsburgh including Franco Harris, Jerome "The Bus" Bettis, Hines Ward, etc. In fact his crude crap got him kicked off WTAE-TV Sunday night talk fest. If any DU'ers want to email ESPN or 1250 - ESPN almost canned him a few months ago for his big mouth. BTW, he's a fat slob as well who had a heart attack last year. But he was too bad to die young. I'm going to try to get this to KO for a worst person nomination.

It looks as if Mark Madden's high ratings trump everything, even the dignity of ESPN, ABC and Disney.

Madden, whose talk show is heard weekdays on 1250 ESPN from 3 to 7 p.m., has a long history of mean-spirited attacks on well-known and usually popular public figures. He outdid himself Wednesday when he went after Sen. Edward M. Kennedy, who earlier this week was diagnosed with brain cancer.

Taking into account two national tragedies of historical and monumental proportions -- the assassinations of two of Kennedy's brothers, President John F. Kennedy in 1963 and Sen. Robert F. Kennedy in 1968 -- Madden said the following early on his Wednesday show:

"I'm very disappointed to hear that Senator Ted Kennedy of Massachusetts is near death because of a brain tumor. I always hoped Senator Kennedy would live long enough to be assassinated.

"I wonder if he got a card from the Kopechnes."

And he's one of the few I would disparage this way - but if you looked up slob in the dictionary Madden's pic ought to illustrate the definition. I'm not usually in to characterizing people by weight or dress but Madden fully deserves the honor.
