Newt Gingrich tells audience Bush should have let a few terrorist attacks through
Says that a few should be let through to remind people that there's still a war going on because they've been so good at stopping the terrorists here.

He's on CSPAN2 appearing for his new book he co-wrote.

Talk about total disconnect with understanding the destruction of people's lives that comes from the murder of someone's family member by terrorism. To say so flippantly that Bush should "let a few of them get through", is grotesquely un-American.

1. Newt Gingrich is in league with the other
sociopaths in the administration. Life means little to them unless it's their own.

2. But what if the terra-rists asASSinated Newtie?
Edited on Sat May-24-08 02:22 PM by SpiralHawk
He would never have time to atone for his family-values hypocrisy, so blatantly obvious when he served DIVORCE papers on his wife while she was in the hospital recovering from surgery, so that Newtie could marry his young secretary. Heaven forfend.

That would be so totally terrible. Or has Jesus already forgiven Newt?

Maybe. In which case, the Big 'A' would not be so TERRIBLE for him.

Oooops, did I use the 'A' word? So sorry -- my mind was clouded by republicon propaganda. Besides, I have already applied to the Ultimate Force for forgiveness, so I'm definitely cool.

5. Interesting Newt's choice of words: "letting" a few, not one or another one.
Edited on Sat May-24-08 02:53 PM by indepat
Interesting and most telling that Newt would even suggest "letting," especially considering the circumstances surrounding 9-11.

Edited to add "letting" and final sentence

11. All the republicons IGNORED all the clear warnings before 9/11
including, of course, Commander AWOL & VP Dickie 'Five Military Deferments' Cheney, and Newtie 'Draft Dodger' Gingrich.

I believe their were over 60 warnings. All ignored by the republicons.

Apparently republicon chickenhawks are not very good at anything other than corruption, immorality, and bloviation.

7. I seriously question where Gingrich's allegiances lie.

It was Gingrich who shut the Federal government down to a standstill when he was in power.

What else does he want to do? Burn up the Constitution?

Never mind. I already know the answer to that one. :eyes:

8. And just when did the Terrorists attempt to attack us?
The reason none of the attacks happened was because there were none. The only possible attacks I have heard about were a few dumb copycats that never could have succeeded. Newt must be losing it in his old age.

9. Reminiscent of Rummy's "A terrorist attack would correct that"
...in reference to the 2006 elections. Or whatever he was referring to. It doesn't really matter because these irresponsible and deplorable statements are made to terrorize the audience, and there's NO time or place for that in a true democracy.

Bottom line is I don't believe BushCo have stopped ANY attacks. At the very least they ignored the warnings prior to 9-11 (I strongly suspect on purpose), they haven't been able to capture OBL, they insist they were "misled" on evidence about Iraq, they can't get their "evidence" against Iran straight, they've captured and tortured countless people who they've subsequently released for lack of evidence, and the anthrax terrorist(s) is still at large. After 7 years of this I can find ZERO reason to think Bush** is protecting us from ANYTHING.

13. not sure, but you know, the GOP is allowed to say whatever they want and it's just discussion
if Obama said that, it'd be on Faux News ALL SUMMER LONG - you know it. If we tricked Hannity with that news he'd run right on air to decry Obama for saying it, and proving he's not a true patriot.

I just saw in searching for info Gingrich, that he's apparently into Cabala along with Limbaugh and the cast of the old Seinfeld show. I wonder if any of that is true. I know Madonna was/is into it.

I just find him so creeeeeeepy. (Gingrich, oh heck, Limbaugh too) They're the type you wouldn't want to get stuck in an elevator with.

18. Before Bush, I don't recall the USA living in a state of fear.
Gingrich is a criminal traitor and Pelosi is a stupid ass for having her picture taken with such an evil person.

The only way to make this country better is to stop playing games with the people who want to destroy it.

Gingrich is a coward who kowtows to the rich and powerful, who desire to be the kings and queens of America.
