And it's surprising that we aren't at Level 3 by now.

Actually, it could just be the bad weather. It's pretty depressing right now in Northern California for the end of May.

4. Ain't it great? You can drive as fast as you want.
I was out on 101 (Marin County) this morning and I was astounded by the lack of traffic.

And this is Memorial Day Weekend.

5. Well at least
Bush and his oil buddies have cut down on traffic problems this year, and it will probably help with drunk drivers also since those who want to drink will have to chose between buying booze, or buying gas, can't afford both!

Kind of suprising to me,usually the crowds drive in on early Friday morning for the long weekend. But they were definately arriving, gas prices and all....

15. If you work for United, please PM me. I am flying to NOLA in July
and don't need to be completely screwed on a flight cancellation because it's for MANDATORY continuing education that I need to do before next January.

20. Me too
Been with this company for 22 years on May 28th. Amazingly, this is only the second time that I've been in the very real position of losing my job at my location. Probably still have enough seniority to go to another location.

9. I noticed that too, here in Central Florida...I wouldn't be surprised
if people are combining errands, and just not driving for "fun" so much. A lot of people asking "is this trip necessary?"

10. I just drove the golf cart over to the lakeside store to buy some beer,
there were dozens of cars with boats in tow buying gasoline and supplies for the big weekend. The park only had a few campsites left open. I guess it depends on location.

14. It was busy enough.
I drove from Flagstaff to Olympia (straight through) over the last two days. Las Vegas was plenty busy on Friday afternoon.

Thankfully, Oregon is pretty quiet between midnight and 06:00.
