I really feel its getting out of hand.

1. I've always seen beaucoup duplicate threads here.
Especially with any late breaking news as posters rush in an attempt to be the first, not even bothering to look if it has already been posted and sometimes many hours earlier.

2. You can't have your name in lights on the front page if you just reply to a previous thread.

So, a dozen people do it hoping to be the one that gets the responses. If the admins had time to stitch together all of the duplicate threads into large ones, we'd only have 5 or 6 things to read a day here some days. :-)
