NEWTON, Mass. (AP) - Two commuter trains have apparently collided at a station in Boston.

Television stations report that both derailed Wednesday after the crash on an above-ground part of the city's "T" system. It isn't clear whether anyone was injured.

News footage from WHDH, WCBB and WBZ shows ambulances at the scene and firefighters apparently trying to free one or more trapped people.

1. I don't think of the "T" as commuter rail.....It's the subway system, right?
Isn't there a separate commuter rail system in the Boston area?

3. Partly Correct
The "T" is both a subway and above ground system using traditional subway vehicles and trolleys. There is also the B&M Railroad (Boston & Maine) which brings in commuters from the suburbs.
