Does anyone else not care what Scott McClellan says?
Edited on Wed May-28-08 07:30 PM by Radical Activist
Bush lied us into war. The press went along with it. Gee, what else is new? I don't need one more person to come along and tell me that. And if someone didn't know that already is one more person saying it going to finally make them see the light? I doubt it.

I'm tired of being against Bush and being outraged for the last seven years. I'm ready to be FOR something and I'm ready to say goodbye to Bush's entire cast of characters.

1. His testimony before Congress could prove very helpful
in holding people accountable.

4. Is it actually going to happen?
I know Wexler called for it, but Wexler calls for a lot of admirable things that don't happen. What's the movement on this?

7. I'm not sure how much I care about that.
Will it stop the next war and the next deception? Every generation seems to fall for it. One would think the Vietnam generation would have been more skeptical but apparently half the boomers learned nothing. I'm worried people will make the mistake of thinking that what's happening right now is somehow unusual or unique to Bush. This is every war. I wish they would teach that in schools.

2. Snottie is just the latest drip in the
drip drip drip of cluing us in to what we already know. THey are a bunch of War Criminals. And he is making his 7 figures on dripping out a little more.

They should all be in jail for treason, invasion, murder and human rights violations.

5. He's certainly not telling me
anything I dodn't know already.

But remember, those of us who didn't believe the hype were pretty much branded as treasonous bastards by some people. Cheney implied it everytime he opened his piehole.

So it is not without some satisfaction that I welcome this insider's story. Better late than never, I guess.

Though I do believe it will take decades to wade though all the slime that this administration has dragged us through.

6. we are not the 'typical' persons who need to have their eyes opened about this regime...
possibly, just possibly, his book and the press around it will get some of the 'duped' to realize what they have been having done to them the past 7 or more years...

11. If the public sees how they were so carefully manipulated by the WH AND the m$m,
a little good will go a long, long way to improving this country.

Not to mention, I'm thoroughly enjoying seeing the m$m tripping all over each other; I've been waiting for this for years!

8. yep, I agree....
and this is beating my timeline, I've told my friends that 8 years after Bush is out of office there would be SO many books about how bad he was (as a person, as a leader and as a boss).

I do have two questions for Scotty though. First; what was his motivation for writing the book? I would guess financial but I'd like to know if there is just a little remorse in there.

secondly, I'd like to know who was responsible for giving Jeff Gannon the WH pass. it doesn't really matter that much to me, just a question I've wondered about....and from what I've heard he doesn't cover it in his book.

10. I don't care what he has to say, I'm just enjoying the reaction.
Especially from the MSM - they're part and parcel of the BFEE and watching them scrabble is hilarious in a rather vexing way.

12. He's not saying anything DUers haven't known for years, but
Every time the Iraq war is brought up in a negative sense like this, it will be detrimental to the McCain campaign... his whole campaign is based on Iraq.

14. I care very much about the TRUTH, no matter where it comes from..
Of course *we've* all known it for years, but what has it gottens us? Nada. Zip. Zilch... except for being called "the looney left" or something like that.

I think it finally *validates* us, since it's coming from the inside... the septic tank has just cracked from the inside. The shit is fixing to be hitting the fan faster and harder than we could have hoped for...

Hold on tight...

16. It is not
important because you or I were unaware of this before, and need Scott's confirmation; it is important because it puts more public focus on the lies of the White House which led the nation to war, and a significant number of Americans need to be reminded.

Like yourself, I will not be buying a copy of the book, and standing in line to get it autographed. However, I will be using it as a reference to point to the criminal behavior of the Bush administration, and saying that we do not need a third term of the Bush presidency. We can use the book to our advantage in the campaign season.

17. I don't care.
He was part of the Bush administration for years and happily went along with everything he is now "outraged" about. I suspect his "outrage" has been paid for by a large advance on his book. If things were so bad he should have resigned in protest.

Besides his arguments are old news. Let's move on to something new and better.
