These people are loyal to the President, not we the people or the US Constitution.
They couldn't give a damn about the laws of this nation, they have no concern for our welfare, for they have no reason to be.

They serve at the pleasure of the President, and so long as that is true, only the welfare of the President will be their highest priority. Why should Scott McClellan have cared about people he did not know? It's all too easy to turn a blind eye to a crime when your ass is on the line.

This is the fundamental flaw in our US Constitution, there are many, but this one seems to be at the root of most of our troubles. Why should it be that the power structure of our system is so centered on one person's will? Why should only one person be the "chief executive" of a nation of 300 million people? Isn't it obvious to anyone else that one person, a relative stranger to most of us, is rarely going to be interested in helping anyone but themselves?

Why do we expect so much out of our politicians? They're only human, they're not any better than we are. That's the whole idea of this system, we do not believe that our President is perfect and divinely chosen, or really we shouldn't believe that but we do. The Presidency is the overwhelming example of that.

We claim ourselves to be a democracy, we claim that we make our decisions, yet we leave the work of government for one person to oversee? It is impossible to have a democracy where only one person is tasked with being chief executive.

The President supposedly serves us, yet most of us would consider it an honor to meet a President of our own party. When was the last time you heard of a person being honored to meet their butler? It's plain to me, we are the servants, only we have been tricked, deceived, into thinking that we are the masters so as not to arise anger and resentment.

In the last few years I have attempted to find out so many things about our government, but I'm no reporter. I have no connections in D.C. and probably never will.

I shouldn't have to be a reporter to know how MY government is being run! You shouldn't have to be a reporter to know how YOUR government is being run!

When the hell was the last time you heard of a boss being out of the know? What are we, Henry Blake from M*A*S*H?

We're never going to get any information out of these people, the people actually doing the work of government, unless we set up a system where they are directly accountable to WE THE PEOPLE, not S/HE THE PRESIDENT!

1. Inconvenient truths find themselves ignored until it is too late.
