Scotty McClellan is going to save our country!
That's it -- the news is out!

Bush lied! Cheney lied! Scooter lied! Rove lied!

The war is a lie!!

It's right there in black and white...Scotty says so!

Bush will be impeached!!

If you believe that, I've got some swamp land in Florida I would like to show you...

Forgive me for not jumping on the Snotty Scotty bandwagon, but I just don't see much happening from all of this. There is nothing new that everyone at DU didn't know before.

Pelosi and company will not impeach Bush. I am for impeachment and I have been for quite some time; but I have given up on anything happening to these criminals. There is no one in our government that will stand up to these thugs. Bush will leave this clusterfuck he has created for someone else to clean up and will walk away unscathed.

Scotty is trying to sell books -- plain and simple. He lied for this administration and suddenly he has a conscience and decides to tell the truth?

Fuck him.

Fuck em' all.

1. That's always been the problem when some right wing
insider comes clean, isn't it? From Stockdale to Dean to Clarke to Brock to McClellan, it's all the same tarnish.

They'll only come clean to make a buck.

3. I think the media will be hit hard by this. I hope to see some changes and I already have.
Lately I hear and read things that we would all agree to on cable and the news magazines. I think the gloves my come off and bush will be really trashed.

I think there is a real need to get this administration off of all our backs.

4. I dunno what overall effect Scotty's revelations will have
But Katie Couric's admission yesterday was pretty startling. I'm eager to see how it plays out. Scotty's book isn't even on the shelves yet.

8. Can't find a vid of it
But essentially what she said, in an interview with her, Brokaw, and Charlie Gibson was that journalists failed in their duty during the run-up to the war and that the news networks were under incredible pressure from the corporations that own them to present the war in a certain light.

10. Thanks.. I posted to you but,
I guess it went into a black hole so, thank you :toast: Good on Katie, too. I've been screaming my head off about the media for 8 years now I feel somewhat vindicated.

7. Lots of noise...
But we do have a new and improved version of the rationale for the Iraq War. And a chance for the media to redeem themselves by issuing another bunch of lies about being 'duped'.
