"Jersey Girl" Lorie Van Auken on Air America TONIGHT (5.29.2008)

Tonight, starting at 9pm EST, Air America host Richard Greene will be dedicating his 2-hour show to a discussion about the failure of the 9/11 Commission Report, and why America needs a new investigation into 9/11. Appearing on the show will be "Jersey Girl" Lorie Van Auken, who lost her husband in the World Trade Center.

Van Auken is very well versed regarding the events of 9/11, as well as the contents of the 9/11 Commission Report. In 2005, she appeared at a Congressional Hearing that criticised the Report, and provided some stirring testimony.

Van Auken will be joined by the congressional staffer who helped arrange the Hearing, John Judge, who also provided testimony at the hearing. Finally, the executive producer of the film, 9/11 Press for Truth, Kyle Hence, will join the show.

This is intellectually star studded - Van Auken, Judge, and then McGovern, and Peter Dale Scott.

I'd recommend without qualification Peter Dale Scott's book, The Road to 911. He's got the scope
of James Bamford over an extended period of time. He also has a major contribution in that book
concerning the bureaucratic incentive to create problems based on the need to feed the bureaucracy.
An amazing venture through little discussed, but critical, United States political history (do I
sound like the back of his book yet;)
