We are missing a perfect opportunity
to screw the MSM to the wall. Since Scottie's book, they are all self conscious that he called them out.
They are deflecting, rationalizing and just watch, they will defame him, even if through the words of the White House.

Do they get away with this too? Even though there's a whistle blower sitting in their interview chair?

I'll be watching to see how he handles it. He did mention to KO that he was surprised at the level of censorship his interview with a RW pundit received.

5. You know, it's funny. I remember watching him once a few years ago, and thinking that
he wasn't quite evil all the way through like the rest of them. I was relieved when he quit for his sake.

Buy his book, yes, but I also think we should be prepared to mobilize to his defense as he's sent into the buzzsaw.

Peace,
sw

9. I Used To Feel The Same Way
Always felt a bit sorry for him because he didn't quite seem to believe what he said. But then, I realized that if he didn't believe it he was actually one of the worst for perpetuating it. And his interviews, where he excuses himself by claiming he did believe it all seem quite self serving.

11. I think it was the kind of deal where you just want to fit in so bad, and everyone tells you all you
gotta do is go along, don't ask questions, be a good team player. You simply suppress any conflicting internal signals and carry on.

Peace,
sw

20. In these interviews the last few days, he seems so much more well-spoken...
even human. Clips of him on the podium during his press secretary days are tough to watch. He's the typical puke spouting the talking points, not seeming to have a soul or a brain. He's robotic and seems as if he's on the verge of breaking in those clips.

In these interviews, the man seems more...intelligent.

Speaking the truth rather than spouting lies will do that for you, I suppose. His health - on all levels - much be much better now.

I say good for him. I'm grateful to him and, call me naive, but it makes sense.

In the interview with KO, he gave a reason for doing this that is more powerful than anything anyone has speculated about thus far ($$, clearing his conscious, etc.). He seems to sincerely believe that people really need to understand HOW the system has worked in order for history to not repeat itself through more partisan insanity and domination. The politics of destruction, starting with George H.W. Bush. A history lesson. KO said as much, that he hopes this book becomes part of history classes.

It also makes sense that he would need time to clear the webs of control and propaganda before he could truly see....every step of the way since W got into office...before getting the book out.

I think his intentions are good here. Actually, I honestly don't care what his intentions are (though it helps); he's written the truth we've all known for years and the more the veil can be pulled back from the deceit of this administration, the better.

24. I agree.
I think he is an idealist. It's almost an inbred Texas characteristic. (I can hear y'all laughing.)

When he says he is against war, I believe him. That's his motivation. He has a conscience.

One book, a few convenient words. A betrayal in some eyes.
And all of a suden theman is a hero. One of us etc.
What nonsense it all is.

Lee Atwater had a deathbed confession/ conversion also.

18. No one is calling him a hero, where do you get that? The point is, this is useful and we should take
advantage of it by keeping up pressure on the corp media. It's just smart strategic thinking.

The mainstream media has been betraying us for a long time. Calling them to account is one of the most important things we can do in order to wrest control of our country out of the hands of the kleptocrats.

Scott is just a tool -- he's always been a tool, but this time he could be OUR tool.

Peace,
sw

3. Excellent point! We should NOT let the corp media get away with this!
Thank you so much for saying this. We should be strategizing about this and stop worrying about the nomination -- that's a done deal.

Peace,

Scott is still a Republican, of course. To me, this looks like it could be big enough to cover several bases.

We know that the GOP has a problem with a large segment of their voters. Vast numbers of them are disillusioned. This is exactly SM's position. He, too believed in Bush. He, too, lost faith and feels betrayed. He was betrayed, but that was supposed to be his job! So, there will be that connection there. Better still, SM is considering voting for Obama.

It's just beginning to unfold. But, I sure like the looks of it.

I am so burned out on the 'nomination process'. GDP has gotten to be a snore.

What's the Difference Between Dan Bartlett, Brian Williams and David Gregory? A Lot Less Than You Think

There's a difference between lying and dissembling. Dan Bartlett lied on Wednesday. Brian Williams and David Gregory merely dissembled. Yet the statements of all three are discredited by the same smoking gun, the one that has been hiding in plain sight for more than five years, and has been subject to a virtual news blackout at NBC News. This White House is beyond redemption. But it's time for NBC and other major networks to come clean.

The White House Lie:

"The fact of the matter was the weapons of mass destruction weren't there. The intelligence was wrong. But that doesn't make people out to be liars or manipulators or propagandists. It makes them wrong." Dan Bartlett on CNN, May 28, 2008

The Smoking Gun: Anyone who read the newspapers with an ounce of common sense could figure out that the case for WMD was a sham.
