Heard John Bolton on NPR this morning....
...what an arrogant, murderous, royal a$$h0l3 piece of work HE is. Thinks the occupation of Iraq went just swell. Of course he totally ignores the 4K Americans and untold Iraqis that have died, the fact that they have NO infrastructure there STILL, that the US has spent BILLIONS building THEIRS (or given it to KBR, et al who is SUPPOSED to be building theirs) while our OWN infrastructure crumbles, we have no healthcare, our public schools are gutted, our econonomy is in the shitter, nothing has been done about climate change, etc. etc. etc. and of course Claire Boulderson didn't ASK about all that. All she said was that "well but people can't go into the shops"...he interrupts her and says "well, if what's important to you is being able to go into shops but you're living under a dictatorship then, we failed..." (or some such).

Good God. CAN WE PLEASE HAVE NEWSPEOPLE/INTERVIEWERS who are PREPARED WITH VERY VERY POINTY QUESTIONS when they interview a WAR CRIMINAL like Bolton?

Boulderson (sp?) just talked about "well people can't shop". Shit. That wasn't an interview. It was a John Bolton rant. The "man" ought to be in a straightjacket behind bars.

2. I wish there was another non-internet station to listen to on the radio...
...but I'm not aware of one. Not so keen on Air America these days.

Anyway, they BOTCHED that interview big-time. WHY toss that flaky, murderous, pasty-faced scumbag softballs like that? Of COURSE Bolton has a book out he was hawking. Doesn't everyone?

3. NPR has responded to the 'regulatory pressure' of the past 7 years...
by becoming more 'non-aggressive' in its general approach to the political spectrum, Bill Moyers notwithstanding...

their question-answer 'news' has gone from watch-dog to lap-dog as much as the MSM has...

4. It certainly has. That "interview" was absolutely PATHETIC. I was screaming ...
...at the radio! NO WAY it wasn't deliberate ignorance.

8. My sympathies. I despise that man because he is not worth my
hate. I finally found out who was responsible for sending powdered formula to flooded Bangledash in the 1980's. Premixed formula in disposable bottles has always been sent before. I stopped using anything associated with Nestles. Finally in 2005, I learned who greased the wheels for Nestles to make lots of cash.

"Lynne Finney, then United Nations policy advisor for USAID, complained that when she refused to lobby World Health Organization delegates to weaken restrictions on the marketing of infant formula in the developing world, because she thought it would lead to product misuse and infant deaths, Bolton shouted that “Nestle was an important company and that he was giving me a direct order from President Reagan.” He allegedly blew his top and fired her. Apparently he made up the part about Reagan, and the top USAID administrator allowed her to keep her post. Finney claims that when Boltonlearned that he did not, in fact, have the authority to dismiss her, he “retaliated” by placing her in a "a shabby windowless office in the basement in order to force me to leave.”"
