1. there was news a few days ago

He went sailboat racing. He participated in part of a yearly race (the "Figawi") to Nantucket, using his sailboat. I hear his boat is well-known in the area.

3. I would imagine he's waiting on a differential diagnosis

and weighing his options, at this point.

I don't expect a blow by blow description from his family, but I do expect an announcement of important things, whether or not he's going to become the poster boy for fighting it or whether he's going to accept it and vacate his seat early.

2. I wish they'd hurry up and start the radiation.

Radiation shrank my dog, Romeo's, brain tumor down to nothing - with no chemo - and his was slower-growing than the kind Sen. Kennedy has.
