No Sicko Gay Equality In Christian America, Says Ohio Politician
Edited on Fri May-30-08 03:56 PM by Bluebear

Rep. Jeff Wagner (R)

From an email by Wagner to a constituent who asked about the Buckeye State’s Equal Housing and Employment Act, which is currently being debated in the house:

This is a dangerous and misguided bill. The bill is not really about people being denied rights to basic needs, but it is about promoting acceptance of an immoral lifestyle. As much as some people would have us to believe otherwise, this country was founded on Christian principles. One of those long honored principles is the tradition of holy matrimony. One man and one woman joined together in a union that goes as far back as Adam and Eve. As our society has gotten further from that standard (not just homosexuality, but easy divorce, cheating on a spouse, etc.) we see a continued collapse of the basic building block of society the family unit.

As that traditional family erodes, we see more sexually transmitted diseases, kids without parents, heartbroken people and I believe a host of mental and physical illnesses…rest assured I can not support a bill in any way promotes or encourages the homosexual lifestyle.

1. Brain-dead whackjob
I'm so sick of these headcases blathering on about the country being "founded on Christian principles." My ass, Christian principles. Don't they know the most basic history of our country? Have they ever read the Constitution? Or had someone read it to them?

I wish Jews, Jains, Muslims, atheists, Sikhs, and Communists would just organize and beat the crap out of people who spread this kind of nonsense.

9. Or, worse, a pandering whore...
...willing to consign fellow Americans to second-class status, if it will gain him power.

Unless, of course, that's a different Ohio farmin' Jeff Wagner.

My point is: Jeff Wagner, National Swine Registry. Funny!

5. Better question: Under the authority of what government?
Marriage is, after all, a legal status that must be obtained by petitioning one's government much more so than one's church.

10. Sometimes the 10th Century is a bad place to live Jeff
And opening the mouth that leads to a closed mind is even more foolish.

Rest assured, when they find you nekkid with a yak wearing a Bowling Green lacrosse helmet and singing a Starship medley, I for one will be laughing my self sillier than I am now.

"One of those long honored principles is the tradition of holy matrimony."

To which I say Anne Boleyn and Catherine of Aragon, you pious piece of excremental flotsam.

Here's the thing Jeff, at least for me. I'm a straight male. And my right, under ther auspices of heels like you, to marry the person I choose is not, nor has it ever been, a right. It's a privilidge. One based on who I marry, and those who are not of the same mind as I am* are excluded based on who they choose to love.

I will have rights. But I will accept no privilidges under this constitution.

*Anyone who is of the same mind as me, may scream with worry NOW. ;)
