Obama Smile v. Bush Smirk & Cheney Snarl
Man I never get tired of it.

Obama is President McDreamy as far as I'm concerned but I'm not even talking about his good looks, I'm talking about the respectful, dignified INTELLIGENT vibe he puts out there, after all those years watching the horrible arrogance of Bush. I hated the way Bush always talked to everyone like he was addressing a pre-school class and they just weren't GETTING it....repeating these mindless slogans with a more insistent cadence rather than delving into the question even a little.

I don't agree with every little thing he does but man, seeing President Obama walk up to that podium today -- it still feels really good.

And THANKS JUSTICE SOUTER! God thanks, if you would have retired last year we'd have some Brownie doing a "heck of a job" on our Constitutional rights right now.

1. You left out the Rove Snear. Yeah, I was always a little suprised at how Bush really seemed to think
he was talking to a bunch of dimwits. And at certain points you could hear a tone of ooooooo-this-is-sooooooooheavy-deep-and-inspiring, when what was actually coming out of his mouth was kitschy schmaltz cheap shit ad-speak.

3. Strange isn't it? All of them sooooo perfectly what you might expect someone to dream up for a
sick, warped and twisted tale about mass murder, robbery and rape, so perfect that I felt the constant urge to do a continuous reality check for the last 8 years. I know a bunch of the FACTS, but it still seems so bizarre as to be fictional. Like we're living inside a huge sad epic poem or something.

4. even in the first year of the national nightmare known as bush 43, I remarked that nobody
could have written a work of fiction with a scenario like that, because no publisher would have deemed it even remotely plausible. reality is, oftentimes, far stranger than anything we can imagine.
