US Soldier Who Helped Rape Iraqi Girl And Murder Her Family Now "Regrets" It
Edited on Sat May-02-09 05:56 PM by BlooInBloo

"One of the five US soldiers who helped rape an Iraqi girl and kill her family told jurors Friday that he regrets what happened that day in March 2006."

Fuck you, you murdering rapist.

EDIT: The hits keep rolling from this worthless sack of shit:

"They talk to you, they pretend to be your friend, and then they try to kill you the next day," he said.

Killing an Iraqi family was Green's idea, Barker testified, but he said that he was the one who came up with the idea of raping the Iraqi teenager."

1. I suspect the reason for the regret has something to do with his ass heading for the slammer
and nothing to do with the murders and rape. I hope he and the others get to live long long lives locked up where they have plenty of time to think about what they've done.

2. Those scumbags dishonored everyone who ever put on the uniform
Those scumbags dishonored everyone who ever put on the uniform and gave honorable service to this country, so they deserve to spend the rest of their lives behind bars.

4. And what remorse does he have for Kristian Menchaca, Thomas Tucker, or David Babineau? . . .
They were the three soldiers murdered by the girl's neighbors and relatives in retaliation for the attack.

What is to be said to their families?

5. I have followed this case, but can only speculate to his mental condition.
Edited on Sat May-02-09 06:08 PM by Mike 03
He seems to qualify as a psychopath, and ordinarily when psychopaaths express regret, it's not that they truly regret the crime; it's that they regret they got caught.

They cry--they cry for themselves. Or in some cases, they blame everybody else.

That is a generalization, of course.

24. I'll get Lorena Bobbitt.
Seriously; his penis will be a (small) source of regret, and the punishment fits the crime.

Draconian? Possibly. But for heinous crimes like rape... CHILD RAPE... expect nary a syllable of sympathy or leniency from me.

15. And the judge should tell him that he regrets sentencing him to the six foot drop.
And then he should go ahead and do it anyway. These guys should all be executed.

28. That is true, J17; however, there are many things that soldiers do during a war that never
come to light, as this did. Especially in a war where the people you are supposedly fighting for are the ones trying to kill you and your fellow soldiers.

23. I don't know enough about the murdering part as I can think of self-defense possibilities...
But rape is NEVER excusable. She's a CHILD for crying out loud!! He isn't sorry; he doesn't regret his jollies. Not one Goddamn bit.

It's also possible he got his jollies off of murdering innocent people and this family wasn't wielding guns and going out to kill any soldier. But I don't have the evidence to make a judgment from.

But, yes, I won't automatically disbelieve the notion "they pretend to be your friend and then try to kill you". Especially in a war time situation, that CAN happen. :( Hell, I've had fellow countrymen, Americans, do the same to me (more in the form of grand larceny on the street rather than murder, but I once had a death threat too. Those are fun. I won't go into details because the tangent isn't warranted.)

27. nope, they had been targeting the girl for some time, making comments
about how she is "good" even to her mother. the girl and her family were scared but people told them they wouldn't go after her since she is a young girl.

the girl's father had her stop going to school because he was worried they might do something to her.
