But, yes, I won't automatically disbelieve the notion "they pretend to be your friend and then try to kill you". Especially in a war time situation, that CAN happen. :( Hell, I've had fellow countrymen, Americans, do the same to me (more in the form of grand larceny on the street rather than murder, but I once had a death threat too.
