My opinion is, if you want to badmouth someone, out with it--don't be cryptic--tell me what the person did, or does, that you don't like. She never would; she'd just say "Keith Olbermann is NOT A NICE PERSON" and then not specify why. She'd imply that she knew this because she knew people on the staff of Countdown (she even shouted them out by name one day), but that was as specific as she'd get. The implication was that they all hated to work with him, but she never said why.

I could not fathom why she would say these things but not get specific. Either be specific on air about what you don't like about the guy, and face the consequences if there are any, or just keep your piehole shut about him. Don't tell us you think he is an absolutely horrible human being, and then go all coy and cryptic when asked why.

:eyes: And all around the time that MSNBC was looking for a new host & hired Rachel. (wonder why? Hmmm, hire the radio personality that comes on your shows & makes nice contributions or hire the one who claims you steal from her? wow, tough call) Frankly, I got tired of the drama. I was upset when AAR canned her, & was happy when she signed on to NovaM. Then came the inauguration & the Sunday radio show that Bill Press put together AND promoted on his show (I saw it on CSPAN). She got a nice segment all to herself & wtf did she talk about? Her boyfriend. Give me a break. After 8 years of W & a new Democratic president, all she talks about is her damn boyfriend? Then she goes on the air on her show, blasts everyone who participated & stabs Press in the back. :wtf: Soon after, something happened at NovaM, she's off the air, with even more drama. And now she's back. Not sure if I'm hanging around this time to see what happens.

that Keith Olbermann can be a jerk he has a giant ego but who cares, like Randi Rhodes doesnt? I never liked her in the first place and what she said about Hillary was pretty horrible, and I didn't even support Hillary. That was over the line and I really don't care if she is coming back, she is a major hack.

I stopped listening to her a long time ago. She is nasty to her listeners, constantly drones on about herself and all her celebrity friends and thinks she is so important. I think she is the one who brought down Nova M radio too. Malloy never talks about her, at all, and there is a reason for that. She'll sick her lawyers on them. She is a nasty bitchy woman.

on her show. All about her and she wanted to be a Howard Stern lite wannabe. Calling a Democratic senator, a presidential candidate a whore? Enough. If you don't agree with her she just yells over you and half the time she doesn't even hear the other person AGREES with her because she doesn't hear anything but the voices in her own head. It was very frustrating trying to listen to her guests because she was convinced what SHE had to say was so much more important than the person she had INVITED to come on the show.

I don't know the circumstances that occurred for her to be kicked off her show a few months back but I'm willing to bet she brought about her own demise. And it won't be long till she does it again. She thinks she is cutting edge and I see her more like a rusty butter knife - ineffective and useless - to the Democratic cause.

Rachel has risen the bar so high I don't think Randi can even see it from where she is standing. Good luck to Randi but this is another person who won't listen.

PS: Geraldine Ferrarro had just publicly stated that Barack was only a viable candidate because he was black. Hillary seconded that several days later. That's what Randi was reacting to.

I reacted badly too. I had always loved Hillary, until that moment.

Now, I love her again.

horrible at interviews. The worse point of her show is when a caller agrees with her but she doesn't get their point and then shouts them down. I don't seek her show out but it's better than the replacement show they've been playing in her old time slot.

Other hosts would listen politely to people with opposing (and often stupid) viewpoint, and then, try to educate them.

But, when she was on a tear, she was profound.
