4th-Grader Questions Rice on Waterboarding, School Told Him Not To Use The Word "Torture"

Rice, in her first appearance in Washington since leaving government, was at the Jewish Primary Day School of the Nation's Capital before giving an evening lecture at the Sixth & I Historic Synagogue. She held forth amiably before a few dozen students about her love of Israel, travel abroad and the importance of learning languages, then opened the floor to their questions.

Then Misha Lerner, a student from Bethesda, asked: What did Rice think about the things President Obama's administration was saying about the methods the Bush administration had used to get information from detainees?

Misha's mother, Inna Lerner, said the question her son had initially come up with was even tougher: "If you would work for Obama's administration, would you push for torture?"

"They wanted him to soften it and take out the word 'torture.' But the essence of it was the same," Lerner said.

3. That boy had more courage than the whole US Press Corps!
-- A question like that coming from a child would have a special sting, if the listener were to hear it. Of course she would never answer it directly. She'd probably get out her laser eyes and kill the boy with her stare.

How ironic that his parents and teachers censored him spare the feelings and save the consciousness and world view of Condoleeza. You would think that given their people's history of the holocaust that Jewish Primary Day School would not want to be excuse the work of torturers

4. "September 11 was the worst day of my life in government, watching 3,000 Americans die. . .":
I don't believe you, Mz Liar. You are the worst liar and lead the list of Cheney, Bush, Powell, Rove, Libby, Addington, and every single military brass spokesperson.

You will live in infamy for your first nine months.

7. I would have encouraged my kid to ask the original uncensored question. And stood up for them
if there was some flap later on.

9. Sorry Mom, The Essence Was NOT The Same
The boy wanted to ask what she was willing TO DO to continue to promote torture and war crimes.

The question asked was just a softball opportunity to respond to an accusation. She could get that on FauxNews.

Not that she didn't answer like a self-incriminating fool, but the original question may well have driven her to tears at the reality of her own wretchedness.
