Every now and then , it just hits me all over again
For eight years a bumbling embicile with unresolved daddy issues was president of the United States. He started an unnecessary war by lying about it and got thousands of Americans and hundreds of thousands of Iraqis killed. He ignored the Bill of Rights, flauted the Constitution's checks and balances, opened up the treasury and the private economy to corporate looters & bandits, justified torture, spied on Americans, bolstered the cause of terrorism overseas, and let the biggest murderer in American history get away because he "just doesn't think about him that often."

Could any other nation besides the USA hold up under that level of abuse and malign neglect?

3. Our nation will be fine
but I think he broke the republican party. It may take them decades to recover from Bush.

4. Mencken was spot on
"As democracy is perfected, the office of president represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron."
H.L. Mencken
(1880-1956)
