And the link below is a by-no-means-definitive blog on the subject of the Governor of Florida being forced to hide out in a supply closet. There are lots more...use The Google.

2. It's from 2006 because that's when it happened.
Your point being? Or, was my point really that obtuse?

Jeb Bush, who has been all over the "news" today with his re-branding of the Republican party, isn't the glory-boy the media portrays him as. He fucked up Florida, he was forced to hide out in broom closets as the governor of a fucking state. And his name ends in "B-U-S-H." Yet we're to believe Jeb and Johnny McC et al are the ones who have new ideas?

Freakin' comical. That's all. Freakin' comical. The leader of the GOP in a janitor's closet, hiding from an angry mob.

That about says it all!

5. sorry, i misread . . . i thought his new american thingie and
the hiding in the broom closet incident were contemporaneous. my bad!

trust me, i KNOW he f*cked up florida. i thank florida voters every day for term limits, even though i feel that term limits should take place in the voting booth. of course, in florida too many cannot get voted out what with our gerrymandered state . . . as bad as texas. it's a bush thing i think. i guess poppy knew he could hoodwink texas and jebbie knew he could win with voting roll purges.

4. Steelworkers, eh? Good for them
It's about time political leaders started scurrying like rats when faced with reality.

Too bad it wasn't on video.

Go Steelworkers!

from the October 7, 2006 International Herald Tribune:

… President George W. Bush’s brother encountered protesters on their way to join a demonstration outside the exclusive Duquesne Club, where Sen. Rick Santorum, a Republican, was holding a fundraiser Friday.

… The protesters, made up of members of the United Steelworkers union and the anti-war group Uprise Counter Recruitment, chanted, “Jeb go home,” and said Bush blew them a kiss.

… Bush, accompanied by a security guard and an aide, retreated into a nearby subway station and was followed by about 50 picketers, said Bob Grove, a Port Authority spokesman.

… Bush was ushered into a station supply closet and stayed there until the crowd left.
