I'm Reading "The Audacity of Hope"
Wow

Not that this book is well written and aceessible, and it is the clarion call for our party...no

I figured every Presidential hopeful writes a book

Proves they can write things - I dunno what happened with the last doofus

So that book will be full of lofty ideals, and BS about helping everyone...and in reality its a job.

But this book maps it out - and seriously its the blueprint for his Presidency so far

I am floored that a Politician is actually doing what he said he was going to do....

2. Read Dreams of My Father, know the man... Read Audacity of Hope know his Politics
I have tried to get people to read his books because it is all there. Agree or disagree, he is not deceptive about what he intends. I was a Kucinich, Edwards, and then Obama supporter, BECAUSE I read his books. I thought he was too gentle and conciliatory and I wanted some asses kicked to the curb. Once I saw how eloquent and charismatic he was (in person and on screen) it was a no brainer that he was the only possible candidate for these times.

Dreams of my Father is truly a GOOD book. I am a major reader and I would like this book even if I had never heard of Barack Obama.

5. I held off on Dreams until recently. I was amazed at how well written and carefully
thought out it was. This is a man who gets cultural differences, issues of identity, and navigating your way through many communities. I was amazed. And have even more respect for our President (if that's possible). Smart, savvy, sensitive, and a thinker. A President with a brain. What a concept!

11. Agree! I read Dreams but I haven't read Audacity yet. I think I'll
get it tomorrow. It was an excellent read and a real insight into the man himself. Great Book

7. I finished Dreams yesterday. What a great book on many levels.
Obama is a very lyrical writer. I bought it at the Des Moines airport because it looked like the only book worth reading. What a pleasant surprise.

8. You should check out the audio books of his books.
I haven't read either of his books yet, but I listened to Dreams from My Father and loved it. I listened to the thing from start to finish on a long drive I had to take recently.

I decided to not listen to The Audacity of Hope on that trip, though, because his voice was so smooth, I started to have a hard time staying awake while driving.

Looking forward to listening to that one, and your recommendation makes me want to do it sooner than later.
