O'Reilly said this:
O'REILLY: That's right, Bruce.
We all have false illusions that America is a noble nation. A country that has freed billions of people all over the world at great cost. A country that provides so much opportunity to the poor that more than 20 million people have illegally entered the USA. Do you get that Bruce?
Do you see the "we" word, as in "we" you see that right?
O'Reilly said Bruce is a far left zealot who believes America is a flawed nation.
O'Reilly said Bruce popped off as he often does.
O'Reilly mocked and insulted Bruce by saying he is a far left zealot who calls his own Country bad.
While O'Reilly may not have used the exact word un-American he sure as hell implied it. O'Reilly also implied Bruce is not very educated with his Bruce Springsteen is not exactly a PH.D. in political science smart ass remark.
O'Reilly also pulled the patriotism card when he said the Republicans are the patriots because they love America.
O'REILLY: But if you take the patriot issue. The one I just defined because this snide stuff that Springsteen does, believe me, and you know this, is all over the left wing media. Every day. We're bad, we're bad.
And this.....
O'REILLY: Barack Obama, the president of the United States went overseas pretty much reinforced that to the rest of the world. Yeah, we are bad. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And if the Republican party would start to seize the high ground there and say we're not bad. These people are misguided. They don't know -- you can take the momentum and swing it right back.
-----------
While not using the words un-American or un-Patriotic O'Reilly said just that, he is basically saying Bruce, Obama, and all the Democrats are un-American and un-Patriotic. He talks about the Republican party seizing the high ground, and how Bruce and the left are misguided. He sat there with Karl Rove and talked with him about what the GOP needs to do to be a powerful party again.
I actually watched that segment, and it was like watching a GOP strategy meeting, even though O'Reilly claims he is not a Republican, he sure sounded like one, and Rove pretty much agreed with everything he said. And if you somehow doubt that O'Reilly is a Republican you need to watch his show a little more often. I watch it all the time, and O'Reilly is 99% Republican, if not 99.5% Republican.
