Tripping on Tamiflu,Relenza and psychosis.

Apparently Tamiflu and Relenza have some nasty psychiatric side effects,as in..causing psychosis..suicide etc.
It bothers me that there are not any safer anti-viral drugs ..
Because I got a nasty psych history already.I think I'll pass on the Tamiflu and Relenza,myself.I'd rather take my chances fighting the friggin flu myself than to risk further disintegration worse than it already is in my own head.I certainly do not want to go back to a psych ward and get re-traumatized and triggered with the pstd stuff while flipping out from the Tamiflu.

And it makes me concerned the state was ready to give these drugs to people en masse.Than the CDC tell us to isolate or"self quarantine" in our homes and stay tuned to the news stressed out sick or around a sick person waiting for an all clear.

If that isn't a recipe for a huge potential psych disaster on an epic scale I dunno what is. And people with psych histories might be as vulnerable as children are to the crazy-making side effects of these drugs.It has not been tested.
I remember the Nazis killed the disabled and mentally ill and "unfit" first.Lets just say it creeps me out a little.I hope this H1N1 does not come back with a vengeance in the fall.

Tamiflu is no better than useless. It has to be taken within 48 hrs of onset for it to be effective, and then if its taken on time, it only shortens the duration of the flu by a day or probably less. With the known side effects being the same or worse than the flu, including psychotic episodes then why would anyone want to take such a pill.

There safer things you can do. To support your immune system, eat good healthy fruits and vegs, and if you can't get out in the sun (sans sunscreen...) then supplement with vitamin D. Take 200 mcg of selenium a day and if you are exposed to cold or flu bump it up to 600. All our food is unfortunately too deficient in this important virus fighting mineral because of our modern factory agriculture. I've been doing this for a few years now and it really works. If I should catch something, its gone in a day or 2 and I don't really get sick.
