Sen Graham hates bloggers (re: Sen. Sessions). Bloggers bite back!

Think Progress has the story.
http://thinkprogress.org/2009/05/06/graham-bloggers/
Graham: ‘If we’re going to let the bloggers run the country, then the country’s best days are behind us.’
After it was announced earlier this week that Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) would replace Sen. Arlen Specter (D-PA) as the ranking member on the Senate Judiciary Committee, bloggers, including ThinkProgress, noted that Sessions had a record of racial insensitivity that stopped his appointment to the federal bench in 1986. Now, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) is hitting back at the blogs:

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) said Republicans would fight back hard if Democrats or liberal groups try to make the Supreme Court confirmation process about Sessions’ record, rather than about Obama’s nominee to replace Justice David Souter.

“If people try to go down that road, it’ll blow up in their face, because Jeff is a good guy,” Graham said. “My hope is that our Democratic colleagues — if you start listening to the bloggers — if we’re going to let the bloggers run the country, then the country’s best days are behind us.”

you know, I have a few things to say about this.

1) I betcha Earl G or Kpete of DU could do a better job of being a Senator than YOU have, Graham.
2) I think letting Bush be president for 2 terms did more damage to America than the Dems listening to bloggers have.
3) Some commentators have said that bloggers ARE the people. Yes, they are primarily citizens of the USA. If the Dems are listening to the people who have blogs, then they are catching the pulse of the public (to some degree). Who, Mr. Graham, are YOU listening to? Rush Limbaugh??? Tell me how HIS ASS tastes!

1. Replace "country's best days" with "GOP's best days" and he's right.

2. This Is Precious...You Blaming Me Blaming You...
Good old Goober is not a happy camper these days. So he shoots the messanger who he claims is shooting the messanger.

So it's the bloggers who made Jeff Sessions a racist and had him say all those idiotic things 30 years ago? Talk about power! While the rushpublicans can revise history...we can time travel and make those bad comments happen so it could be used in 2009.

What the bloggers have done is leveled the playing field. The GOOPers hate the fact their lies now get challenged the moment they're uttered...their talking points are deflated before they get any traction and their past can't be hidden away.

Sucks to be you, Lindsay...enjoy your long stay in irrelevancy.
