Wyden Is On Ed's Radio Program Right Now And He Is .......
Edited on Thu May-07-09 01:48 PM by global1
bogarting Ed. He's talking around the issues. He's really talking that we'll get more of the same from the insurance companies. It is apparent that he is not talking - single payer. He is really watching what he says so he doesn't put his foot in his mouth. He is being a politician here and trying to make it sound like he is god's gift to health care. The guy is rope a doping Ed. He talked all around the real issue - that is that 'single payer' is the only way to go. He knows that if he goes down that road - he'll be targeted - so he's holding the insurance company line. Crap!!! Crap!!! Crap!!!

On edit - Ed didn't challenge Wyden very much either. Sorry Ed. You could have been tougher on Wyden.

1. Single Payer is a pipe dream with Baucus on the committee.
Its not happening no matter how loud we scream. You can't have something like this pass when the lead Democrat on the committee is set against it.

4. Baucus said so long ago. But we can maybe get a public pool that will then grow to
become a defacto single payer system.

At least that's the hope of most healthcare reformers.

We need a Senator who will introduce identical except single payer versions for bills that come out of the finance committee. That way we can compare apples to apples.

We can say, the Baucus bill covers this, mandates that, costs x amount, and we can see the same coverage except financed through a tax based single payer fee for service system. Then the public can know and see and decide what they want.

And we Monatanans`are going to have to line up outside his offices and talk to him or his staff. And we are going to also have to let Tester know that we want him to lobby his colleague on our behalf.

2. Here is a list of committee members:

What if we email them and let them know if they don't offer single payer, we'll know they're on the take.

3. We know they are on the take anyways
...so when you write your letter, tell them you know it and tell them what you are going TO DO about it.

They honestly do not give a rat's ass if you know they sold out....just if you are going to withdraw support because of it.
