A student from a Christian school in Findlay, Ohio has been threatened with suspension if he attends the prom of the city's public high school because of the music at the prom.
A good "Christian" value. Intolerance.
From the Findlay Courier newspaper (www.thecourier.com)
Findlay High School students and their dates are primping and prepping for tonight's prom, readying for the flash of parents' cameras and friends' cell phones. The spotlight is shining particularly bright on one attendee, however. Tyler Frost, 17, a student at Heritage Christian School, a private fundamentalist Baptist school just up the road from the city's public school, has been suspended for the rest of his senior year and is being banned from graduation ceremonies for his plans to go to the prom, his principal said. The story became a viral sensation overnight, topping news aggregators like Yahoo! News and flooding message boards. Media outlets throughout northwest Ohio and beyond are descending on Findlay to cover what ordinarily would be the typical annual promenade of youthful couples, groups of friends and individual students ready to dance the night away.
