8. When George Bush can joke about not finding WMD that
led directly to the deaths of 100's of thousands of Iraqi's, the bar for good taste has been removed. I can't get outraged by a comedienne calling Limbaugh a terrorist.

11. Acually, I thought Obama went a little too far...
...with the Boehner "person of color" comment and the Cheney "How to shoot friends" comment.

Sykes is an edgy comedienne. I expected comments like this from her.

12. The "20th hijacker" thing was probably over the top and not particularly funny
As a sacred cow, it might never be OK to joke about 911, but I don't have a lot of sacred cows, I just didn't think that one thing was all that funny. Other than that, she did really well. I must say, I am probably a little juvenile because without the dirty words her show loses a little something. It's like Chris Rock without the nword.

17. It's a long standing tradition
And she did not deviate from that.

I agree with the person up-thread who said if Bush can joke about not finding WMD, an action that wasted over 3000 soldiers' lives and untold thousands of Iraqi lives, then no. She didn't go very far at all. She didn't kill anyone, GWB killed thousands.

20. Robert Gibbs is joining in the pile on
Says 9-11 should be off limits for comedy and let to serious reflection. Let's remember while Wanda gets fed to the lions that George W Bush joked about 9-11 being one part of a Trifecta he'd won, way back in 2002. So that ship sailed long ago.

That's just ridiculous.

But I guess I think we just need to get over it. But it's the worst thing that ever happened EVER!

24. about Limbaugh?- hell no!
That man has advocated killing liberals, he should be arrested not defended. What a bunch of bullshit. And Limbaugh is such a cowardly weenie that he needs the 'liberal' media to defend him like this? I wonder how he would explain that to his listeners...

25. I don't like the questions. Push/pull anyone?
# Yes. She called Rush Limbaugh the 20th Sept. 11 hijacker. Sykes even joked that she wants his kidneys to fail. Calling someone a terrorist and wishing them dead crosses the line of decency.

# No. It was all in good fun. She knew the audience she was pandering to, and her comedy routine was a big hit with the Democrats in the crowd.

# I don't know. I think she took the Limbaugh jokes a little too far, but she also roasted Democrats too. "The first black president playing basketball -- that's two steps forward, one step back," Sykes said of the president.

Of course my answer would be no....STOP. (actually it's HELL NO) but what kills it for me is the "her comedy routine was a big hit with the Democrats in the crowd." :wtf: Why not just stop at "It was all in good fun"?

MSNBC I call you on your bullshit poll.

31. She was tame. GOP and their footsoldiers just want to rain on any democratic success. No way
they were going to let ANYBODY'S routine go without criticism. They just picked Wanda cause she is the most obvious candidate to create outrage against. Really the GOP are just excercising the freepers. They have to keep them busy or a few more may switch sides and start liking Obama and real government.

33. After 8 long years of bold face lies and Bush looking for
WMD and the Republicans laughing their heads off --- hell NO she didn't go to far.

She told the truth on Slime Rush and I'm delighted that she recalled his Drugs for the entire world to hear about it.

She was masterful - truth to power.
