Every day - this is the truth - I have to remind myself that Obama won the election. Then I can breathe again.

Then I watch that day's installment of this hilarious soap opera that's known as the Republican Party. Right now, I don't see them doing anything except vote "NO!" against anything President Obama proposes and entertaining us in the near - or distant - future. Just a bunch of old white guys truly do not get it.....

My daughter and I have long referred to the republicans as the party of old white men. I made one of our most loyal precinct committeemen angry when I shared that with him. He informed me, quite huffily, that he is an old white man. He told me that his wife is married to an old white man, and she is not any more republican than he is.

I assured him that I am also married to an old white man who is a loyal Democrat.

I guess I need to be more careful. They just have the MENTALITY of old white men. They remind me of those curmudgeonly Muppets, the two old guys who never seem to know what is going on and never understand the jokes.

Thankfully the wingnuts haven't gone away, they're just making themselves look even more fucking ridiculous than normal.
