Anyone watching CSPAN1? Hearings on health care. Three people have stood up

and made speeches about the need for single-payer health care. That is, three people sitting in on the hearings, NOT the panel pols. Baucus said there shouldn't be any comments and speeches from the audience. Um, that "audience" are also known as citizens.

It seemed a co-ordinated move by the people (two women, one man) who stood up and spoke out. They were hitting the points and speaking clearly and firmly.

3. Caucus was calmer today.. i guess our calls last week

put him in check.. he said if citizens want to speak with him aboutsingler payer that we should contact his office and he would listen.. yeah right!.. he is scared because his ass was kicked last time with our calls to his office.

8. I have been trying to call both Senator Baucus and Senator Bill Nelson

(my senator) for the past hour and the phone lines are always busy. I'm so hoping that it is because Americans are calling about single pay healthcare and the fact that there are no single payer advocates sitting at the table during the hearings. I'll keep trying.

4. I bet they were with the group of Drs. Ed Schults had on his show last week.

One of them was arrested last week for interrupting the HC meeting, but the pedriation that was on with Ed said they were not going to give up. I think we should all write to Sen, Bacus and tell his "The problem with him meeting with them in his office is that the cspan cameras aren't there and we won't have the opportunity to hear their side!"
