1. Keep on with this...it's a great idea.
"contrasting poverty with the obscene wealth" is a great theme and can incorporate most of the other themes mentioned...so it is a win win idea.
Bill Gates house contrasted with a block of Detroit foreclosures.....etc.

2. Yup. I forgot to say that people don't have to take both pictures!
Thank you for your encouragement.

Please post your ideas, too!

3. Here's another name suggestion:
Beyond Recession

Or, go with one of the names listed above, though the 2009 one will be dated when we're doing this again next year, and the next, as I'm sure we'll have the chance to do. :(

I've been thinking about this a lot, particularly as a photographer, but also from bobbolink's comment in your original that the project needs education beyond just photos to education. I have a lot going between now and July 4th, but I'm hoping I might be able to pull at least a photo or two out, maybe more.

4. I'm not too worried about the "text" end of the project ...
... I've had a few people volunteer to do research and write something up.

The hardest part will be getting the pictures.

We want to overwhelm the deniers.

9. This is an excellent idea
I've actually wanted to see/participate in a project like this for a while now. I think there's a lot of potential in this.
