Norm Coleman Spotted on Capitol Hill
I live on Capitol Hill. Earlier today, around noon, I spotted Norm Coleman at 2nd and D Streets NE, walking towards the Hart Senate Office Building.

He also stopped to briefly chat with Roland Burris.

Finally, to top it all off, HE WAS WEARING HIS SENATOR'S PIN!

9. Bzzzzzzzzzzt!
He was not elected by anybody. Al Franken got more votes. Courts have certified this.

The man is unfit to be anything beyond the Gum Scrapper Patrol at the Malls

At least the largest mall in the country is right near him. :P

6. In regards to the pin...
I believe that former members of Congress (both House and Senate) are allowed to keep all of their previous pins (new pin each Congress); and they are given a "former member" pin once they are out of office.

7. Maybe he's expecting the MN Supreme Court or further down the road, US Supreme Court ruling in
Edited on Thu May-14-09 03:36 PM by GreenTea
his, (Coleman) favor?

The republicans certainly aren't going to stop if they don't get the ruling they want from the MN Supreme court, the republicans want to prolong this, stop that Dem vote (Franken's) and will continue their bullshit tactic by sending it to the US Supreme court, vindictive bastards that the republicans are.

Five hard core republicans on the US Supreme Court...it's even more to the right (after BushCo appointments) than it was in 2000 when they stole the election for the idiot W!

And who knows maybe the republicans will get the ruling they want for Coleman, the republicans certainly have nothing to lose by prolonging it!

15. I can't find a source, but
I do remember reading that he's been meeting with the repukes on a fairly consistent basis and is welcomed with open arms. I guess hope springs eternal.

18. Once a Senator, always a Senator. You don't turn in the pin. You can still visit
old colleagues.

Maybe he was picking up the crap he had stashed in some buddy's office...or maybe they didn't force him to clean out his office straight away, but someone else now wants his digs and he's being forced to box everything up at long last?

I'm hoping he was answering questions in the "Who bought your suits, Normie?" investigation, and boxing up the crap from his office.
