Not very good pictures
of Barack Obama at ASU (sorry about the crappy quality - all I had was my point and shoot ... STOOPID ... I didn't even think to take the SLR until I got to the stadium. I was in the Loge seats directly across from the stage!):

Secret Service sharp shooters setting up on one side of the stage - there was a matching pair of 4 more on the other side and they spent the whole time scanning with binoculars in both directions and pointing their guns at us (not that you could actually see the guns, I just saw them carrying the very obvious rifle cases with them as they walked across. My guess is that most people didn't even notice them):

Full stage view:

Closer view (the best my camera could do - I will probably be kicking myself for not thinking of the better camera for at least the next few years):

On the screen:

Thank you so much.

How cool was our President? When I heard him make that crack about the IRS, I couldn't believe it. The guy is slicker than snot................

7. He just made an allusion
to the ASU reasons for not (initially) awarding him an honorary doctorate, and added that the president and the trustees could expect to be audited by the IRS.

He, of course, did it with much more graceful than I am able to whomp up right now. But it was lovely ................................

8. He said something like he learned
not to pick someone over ASU in the basketball pool and that the president and regents of ASU were going to learn what an IRS audit is like. It was VERY funny.

6. That and the crack about
Bernie Madoff! I thought the way he used the brou haha about the honorary degree to guide the speech was brilliant. It was like he took a gentle and humorous dig at ASU and then proceeded to say it was the right message.

I may not have brought the SLR but at least I remembered A camera :)
